The secret to a long lasting friendship? Try endorphins and good eats. As someone who loves to workout, bond with friends and instagram my meals, I am a huge fan of bestie workout and brunch dates. There’s a sense of accountability once you and a gal pal lock down a date, location and time. Passionate about a certain studio, workout or instructor? Share the love with a friend! Looking to beat workout boredom? Try a new spot. It’s pretty common for workout places to offers intro specials. Cha-ching! More money in your pocket for a well deserved eggs benedict post-workout. Check out my #badnbeauj approved suggestions for the ultimate bestie workout and brunch ideas.
Long Beach Bikram & Wild Feast
A solid 90 minute bikram session will leave you dripping...literally! Located in Long Beach, visit this studio for a quick out of city getaway. It’ll feel like a mini vacation! Drive or hop on the LIRR. I’m a fan of hot yoga because it’s great for major detoxing and is an overall challenging mind/body experience. This lively, yet serene studio even has a few showers to cool off and refresh for brunch. Head over to Wild Feast for a fantastic line up fresh, seasonal eats. Their menu boasts options for those seeking grass-fed, all natural, organic options.
Flywheel & Sweetgreens
While there are a variety of cycling classes, Flywheel posts your stats on a liter board. The class is set-up to have you compete with your fellow riders. A little friendly competition never hurt nobody! The Flatiron location has a great locker room for post-ride showering. If you and girls are looking for a filling, but light option, hit up sweetgreens for a range of healthy salads. Totally insta-gramable!
Live Stream & Chill
If you’re a homebody, host a workout session at home via online classes. There are a variety of options such as yogaia, sworkit, jetsweat, etc. Feeling old school? Dust off those old workout DVDs for a throwback feel. You won’t have to go far or wait long for post-workout brunch as you can whip up a balanced breakfast in your own kitchen. Opt for a balanced meal such as scrambled eggs, keto-approved pancakes, fresh fruits and plenty of liquids for hydration.
